Hey! My Name is Carissa.
My kind of creativity is two-fold—there’s Creative Director Carissa and there’s On-Camera Carissa.
Creative Director Carissa is an agency-bred writer, now recovering at UnInterrupted/The SpringHill Company. I often say creatives are those of us who survived with our child-like imaginations in tact. It’s pretty wild that I get to make a living telling stories about sports, fashion, creativity, Blackness, even adorable dogs having playdates. Basically, I’m what you get when creativity whimsy survives but picks up some solid leadership skills along the way. It’s thrilling, really.
Outside of work, On-Camera Carissa tells stories through her own lens. I spend my time hunting for more stories to tell with my YouTube series, The Formula, which highlights the amazingly positive work being done by people of color throughout the country. I also frequently moderate TEDx events, interviewing speakers backstage and serving as MC. I hope to continue touching upon everything from music and entertainment to moving personal journeys. My ability to connect with others, as well as ,y love for live music and real conversation, make me a relatable personality that I hope will one day be welcomed into every living room in America.
